I don't really know if any of y'all know much about high school football but I'm gonna give my state championship predictions and y'all tell me what y'all think

Class 5A
Ponchatoula vs Destrehan

Class 4A
Plaquemine vs Neville

Class 3A
Livonia vs Church Point

Class 2A
Many vs Kinder

Class 1A
Mangham vs Haynesville

D1
Rummel vs Catholic

D2
University vs St Michael

D3
Catholic of New Iberia vs Calvary Baptist

D4
Vermilion Catholic vs St Mary's

Many people would put Easton for 4A but my school played them this year and we barley lost but they are not a team. They just have a bunch of athletes. Plaquemine and Easton are in the same side of the bracket and teams that have a team seem to give them trouble and I think Plaquemine is more of a team than Easton. Easton has the best talent in the state but not the best team

No way St. Michael gets to the Dome. Parkview probably crushes them in their first game.

Maybe if private schools would stop recruiting then they could be back together. Its not fair for the public schools that don't recruit and have to play all these schools that do recruit. Keep them split

Splitting them up is fine, but if you do, there should only be a big private, small private, and 3 classes for public. Way too easy to make playoffs now and district doesnt even matter.

University lost to Evangel in the 4th who went on to lose to Curtis in the Dome.
Lost to Curtis in the Dome the following year.

Don't forget about Thibodaux in 5A. Lost to Destrehan in the final seconds of game. They have stem rolled everyone else.

That's bullshite. Not saying some don't recruit. but, I played for a Catholic school. no one on my team was recruited. Hell in 4 yrs there, I might have seen 5 guys go on to play football in college, and none played for elite programs.

We did, however, win a state championship. We made the playoffs all 4 yrs, and we made it pretty deep every yr. So, it can be done without recruiting.

Why do public schools think that just because a kid lives in a certain area that the kid belongs to the public school for that "attendance zone"? Private Schools do not have attendance zones because they are PRIVATE. Therefore they must recruit their students and athletes wherever they can get them.

By contrast a private school not only must recruit athletes but its' entire student body. Why doesn't the Public School System whine and complain that the most intelligent kids in their area are also being recruited by Private Schools?

The concept that recruiting a player by a private school is somehow akin to cheating is ridiculous. First, a public school kid does not pay to attend school at the Public School so if a kid is recruited and allowed a reduced scholarship or a free ride by a Private School only equals the playing field with the Public school because he is now free to choose where to play without one school having a financial edge over the other. If a PARENT chooses to put their child into a Private school because that Parent sees a benefit for their child to attend that private school then who the Hell is the LHSAA to try to act as if the Private School is harming the Public School? If the parents think the education and exposure at a Private School is better for their child then so be it. The Public Schools do not own these kids just because they live in their area and they feel that if the Private school didn't take "their" player away that their school's athletic program may be better. Screw the Public School's self-entitled attitude that certain players belong to them. It just isn't so.
