Settle down LF, it's your first PRESEASON game. I personally think he will have 1200 plus yards this year, but it's just a preseason game

quote:

"It's a lot slower than I really thought," Fournette told NFL.com after the Jaguars' 31-24 victory over the New England Patriots on Thursday night. "That's how I've been since I first got into the NFL. A lot of people were like, 'It's going to be fast.' But by me playing in the SEC, that kind of helped me a lot.

"I think, to me, it was really easy."

I'm a LF fan, but he says/does things way too early. Heisman pose for example

I love his confidence. It's also refreshing to hear an athlete be honest with their feelings for once.

There's a DE or LB that will be looking to make him eat that quote.

These rookies forget they have to play 16 games, plus preseason snaps.

After playing against Alabama, the NFL is a cakewalk.

I don't think he was saying it was slow. He was just saying that he heard everyone saying how fast it is. You have it in your mind, then when you see the real thing, it doesn't live up to what people were saying.

He's an elite athlete, even amongst runningbacks. I'm sure other past rookies with elite talent have thought the same thing but just didn't say it.

I saw a few carries last night. He's such a physical and punishing runner. I'm concerned about the longevity of his career. He's going to have to learn when to lay off and save it up for the Playoffs (if they ever make it).

He's a runningback so he's already got a limited number of years to play.

You want 10 years in the NFL, not 3.

I mean it helps that he played a patchwork defense of 2nd and 3rd stringers.
