BREAKING: Nike has signed LeBron James to a lifetime deal. Largest single athlete guarantee in company's 44-year history.

Nike has never before announced a lifetime deal like the one they did with James today. Assume MJ has at least a de facto one.

The only thing more ridiculous than the price, is the ugly arse design.

I wonder if he gets a ridiculous amount of shares / partial ownership out of it.

And obligatory:

Yea the Lebron line has been going downhill the last few years.

Current design is fricking godawful.

I was seriously convinced these made me juke better.

ETA: I just google searched and see that they still sell these. Might have to buy a pair before my annual neighborhood father/son football game.

Got to be at least 150 mil. Maybe closer to 200.

His first deal with nike was 90 mil for 7 years in 2003.

2010 deal was 20 mil/year.

Well considering Durant signed for 300 mil, I'll go out on a limb and say it's way more than 200 mil

How can there be a number on it? Other than a per year amount likely to be 40-60. Will it be a 10-15 year payout with royalties for life?

Christ I forgot about Durant's deal lol.

Taking that into account it'll probably be over 450 mil
