Yup. Ever since he came back the plan was to get 2 one year max money contracts in then do a big deal when the cap explodes.

I wouldn't have made any sense for him to sign for more than 1 year guaranteed.

Well he has 2 years guaranteed, so he has some protection if he gets injured

yes, its always been expected to be a short deal

he was always going to take a short deal so that once the cap sky rockets next season he could get mega $$$

?

LeBron was always getting the max.

Windhorst was just wrong (again) saying LeBron was waiting on TT's deal

FIFY. The cap explodes next summer, but shoots up again in 2017 to like 110-115 million. He will sign a 5 year huge contract then and be paaaaaaid from 33-38.

Yeah but the CBA also expires before then. I think he will sign his big deal next year before the lockout the next season

Not to mention I wouldn't trust the Cavs organization with a long term deal. LJ has all the money he will ever need so contract flexibility is way more valuable than money for him at this point IMO.

Probably putting a good team around him, although they are loaded.

It means you don't want to be stuck there when they frick up the organization. Although with LeBron, it will be him playing GM that could frick up the organization. And at this point, they have a solid core for years to come.
