and you could have read the rest of that post instead of taking one sentence out of context to make a hilarious boom. I said you could argue that, but I didn't think it had any merit.
Then what's the point of making the argument?

I could make the argument that there is a flying spaghetti monster too, it just wouldn't have any merit.

just pointing out how the appearance of what happened can make people mad.
The only thing really making people mad here is that it's Lebron James doing it, let's be honest.

and whoever said this isn't using taxpayer money, don't kid yourself. the squad cars, gas, upkeep, etc aren't paid for by lebron.

Actually LeBron pays millions of dollars a year for those cars, that gas, and the upkeep.

So someone is a "bron bron lover" bc they called out a posters stupidity?

Next you're going to tell me that the op isn't really dumb or biased he was just trying to troll the MSB.

Boston gave a starting catcher a police escort to a game so he would make it in time for first pitch

As if the NYPD wouldn't do the same thing for a Yankee.

Did you watch the video, LeBron in riding in the back of a cop car and there are cars diving at them on a 3 lane highway...that's a little bit more then a simple escort.

Also, link to where he paid for this?

Our wedding party had a police escort from the church to reception. We broke about 30 traffic laws in the 15 mile drive.

So has this turned into a "things I've seen police escorts get away with" thread?

There is video evidence of a police officer breaking the law

Isn't that what a police escort is for?

Also, I love the arguments where this is compared to players trying to get to their game on time...this guy was trying to go watch a concert

Police escorting him made it legal. I might not agree with it, but that's a perk of being high profile like Bron Bron.

To allow the escorted party to move in a manner that gets them there timely and safely?

Hell I've been in a funeral procession that has driven against traffic.

For the record, I can't stand LeBron and really don't like the power that police have these days. I don't have a problem with someone receiving an escort, though.

is there a difference? what about the people going to a funeral. they block roads and break laws. why the hurry? the guy is already dead.

Golfer, police officers have to obey traffic laws except in an emergency situation ...you're more level headed than this

Funerals usually have bylaws written into city code that allow them to disobey traffic instruments such as stop signs and traffic lights
