Was about to post the same thing. I've never really taken a firm "SIDE" in the whole lebron thing, but in general I've just never really cared for him. He just rubbed me the wrong way. But it's stuff like hugging that halftime shot guy, to that clip from tonight, that just makes me plain old like the guy. I mean throwing that pass back to the fan is something one of me or my friends would do in a rec league game or something. Not the NBA ha.

He's a guy who genuinely wants people to like him. Like Magic. You can't say that about MJ, Bird or Kobe.

That is pretty cool. I am still pretty indifferent towards Lebron. I obviously think he is the best player currently in the game and on track to be maybe the best not named Michael Jordan. Dude got way too much unnecessary hate, but I feel like some people are now on his dick to almost over correct for the haters.

Side note, the Heat jerseys look horrendous.

It is really too bad that he and everyone else around him fricked that up so much with the Decision. Would have been nice to avoid that PR catastrophe and the ensuing two year shitstorm.

He is definitely Magic like.

I'd say he was lucky the fan caught that. Guy didn't look the most athletic, and probably was not expecting a quick pass back.

BUT... still pretty cool.

Thing is, he's the same guy he's always been. Its not like he's some reclamation project that has turned his life around.

Trolls like Skip Bayless just spent the last decade convincing people not to like the guy. And for the people that will claim it was "The Decision" that built the hate for him, they weren't on this board, or others, pre decision. There's been a strange anti Lebron sentiment for years.

Even The Decision catastrophe was a consequence of his desire to please people -- in this case his homeboys/entourage. He was just too naive/reckless to realize there would be a huge backlash. You can tell he feels bad about it because his people have floated the whole LeBron could return to Cle in 2014 thing as a way to placate Cle fans.

Totally. That is why I did not say it was his fault.

He was just a grown arse kid and made a mistake. We do not even how much influence he had in it.

It honestly seems some of the most crucified celebrities are not legally bad people or anything. At most, they are egotistical, but they work really hard at their craft. The best examples are Lebron, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Kanye West IMO.
