its almost like titles is a team accomplishment and being the best player in history doesnt guarantee a title... or is that only if you lose in the finals?

Kind of what I was getting at in a minimalist sort of way. Comparing people from different eras, particularly based on playoff performance, is ridiculous for so many ways. Number of teams in the playoffs, style of play, rules changes, etc.

And in what world has Lebron scored more? It took him 32+ extra playoff games to beat MJ's scoring mark.
