Is anything more important to the sports media right now than an answer to the burning question, "Where do Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony end up playing next year?" Mike and Mike on ESPN just signed off with re-assuring news that we "may know" by Monday. A radio sports host interrupted his enjoyable interview with someone about the World Cup yesterday to read a damned tweet about Lebron and/or Carmelo only to offer comforting advice that the tweet should be disregarded because it was a fake account.

I actually like pro basketball, but I couldn't care less about what teams sign either of these players.

Am I in the majority or the minority? (I concede I'm probably in the minority because I like pro basketball, but the question concerns the glut of publicity about these players.)

Do you mean besides trying to force people to care about soccer? Because that is literally all that's been going on in the sports media for a couple weeks now.

Yes, it bothers me too when people discuss sports on a channel dedicated to sports. It wouldn't suck as bad, you know, if they were discussing sports in a place where others generally don't tune in for sports topics.

I don't understand the fuss over Carmelo Anthony. He's always presented himself as a selfish thug who doesn't play an D

LeBron needs to stay in the east. Carmelo has never done shite. He can go whenever he wants and lose.

Lebron is the no1 player in the league. Melo is about the no8 player in the league. Is it really that hard to figure out. EVERYBODY wants lebron on their team .And if they cant get lebron, they would like to get melo as a lil consolation prize
