I don't know how anyone can say the refs are taking control for the Heat after George gets that call.
Hell, I'm not even saying it was a bad call.

I'm simply saying, if the refs are trying to let the Heat win like some silly folks think, they wouldn't have made that call, and no one would have argued about a no call there...except for the irrational haters of course

indeed, plus lebron was in foul trouble the entire game. one of his 'charging' calls was absolutely ridiculous (accident elbow while driving in the lane_

Okay, just because I don't want to start a new thread- How many steps are you allowed to take before it is considered travelling? Do you get an extra one if you are driving in for a game winner?

Every player gets an extra step driving to the lane at any point in time.

You can't possibly watch NBA basketball and not know that.

Wouldn't an "extra" step only allow two?

I know this. It just bugs me that no one cares that LBJ tucks the ball under his arm and runs down the lane like a RB plowing through the line.

Actually, no.

EVERY player in the NBA gets steps, not just Lebron.

Sorry stats are just stats. Some are more important than others but the ultimate stat is winning. It is the only stat that is indisputable.

LBJ is a fantastic player but to be crowning anyone GOAT because he puts up crazy stats is silly. You're discounting plenty of qualities in great players that make them great by pointing to only paper stats. The 1 category that contains all of those qualities is the ability to win.

Does he have to win as many as Russell or even MJ/Kobe to be put in that conversation? Hell no. But he damn sure needs to win more than 1 or 2.

The sad part is that if the guy had 50% of the competitive drive that Kobe has he would probably have 4-5 under his belt and the GOAT label because he is that talented.

Alright, this will be my one post in this thread.

How can anyone compare Lebron to Jordan at this point? Whether or not you're already saying he's the GOAT or if you're saying he will never be as good, how can you tell? Lebron is 28. He probably has a good 10 years left in his career. Why does everyone have to try to compare him to Jordan nonstop? Let his career play out, then have this discussion. It's just stupid right now. You can compare how he is playing right now to how other current players are playing right now, but trying to compare two different players, from two different eras, while one is only halfway though his career is just dumb.

James is one of the best in the league at almost everything.

Points
Assists
rebounds
defense
team leader
clutch
effort

Dude really brings a lot to the table. I've always said I'd take a 2000 season Shaq over pretty much anyone else's best season, but Lebron might pass that this year.

Like Shaq said after the game......George got fouled on that 3, but I haven't seen it called in a situation like that in about 15 years. lol

Wasn't there a similar foul call earlier in the game? I can't remember but I believe that's what Steve Kerr said.
