Went to a Tech game in Ruston about 2 years ago. It really is a neat little college town & I was very impressed with the campus. Frankly, it blows away USL, McNeese, NSU, SLU etc.The game atmosphere is 100x more family friendly than LSU FWIW.
The game was freaking freazing and I guess about midway through the 3rd quarter the died in the wool Tech fans behind us - about 5 of them- are standing up on their seats & one says to the others, "Man, this is what being a big time college football fan is like!" The group all agree enthusiastically.
Not 5 minutes later the same guy says, "Hey, are yall ready to go?" Without a voice of dissent they all enthusiastically leave.
As they walked by one of my buddies says - loudly- "there goes some big time college football fans"...????
