He's also seemed like THE example of how to conduct yourself as a professional athlete. From his crazy summer workouts that he organizes and takes other WRs to, to his good off the field behavior, to balling for over a decade. Just a class dude.

My boss was good friend's with Tyler Palko's older brother in college and he would hang out with Larry quite a bit. He echoes the same thing about the guy... just an all around nice, caring man who would do anything for anybody. This kind gesture doesn't surprise me.

Is there a "Fitzgerald is a dick" story out there? Anywhere?

Maybe one kid who was too short to see behind taller kids? Didn't get a signature and now secretly loathes him?

Look at the smile on Col. Ballard's face. This is wonderful.

I've never read or heard a bad thing about him.

Imagine how much better his numbers would be had he of played with someone like Manning, Brady, Rodgers or Brees. Palmer was terrific last season, but there were many years where he had garbage throwing him the ball. Good QB play through his entire career and he'd likely be around 15k career receiving yards right now.

1k+ receptions
98 TDs
He will pass 14K receiving yards at least.
105 yards per game average in the playoffs.

HoF player, and even better person, with about 3 wasted years.
