His kids finished with college there? I know he said previously he was going to stay while his kids or kid was in school there.

Why not offer him the extension? SMU definitely had issues under him but weren't they better with him than without.

Probation, major APR problems that could keep them out of postseason again.
Brown did his job..he resurrected them. They had a well-regarded "coach in in waiting." Good time for him to take over.
