How does that happen? Did he never get over his injury or was he just so slow he was never going to be good in the NFL? One catch is pathetic for a first round pick. Probably the worst pick of last years draft

Because he's slow af and never looked impressive in college.

He wasn't garbage.

But literally nothing about his game screamed, "oh this dude will be good in the NFL."

I can't imagine many more worse situations for a WR with his skill set to go to than Minnesota.

Zimmer almost never lets his rookies on the field. He will be much more involved this year

He had good hands and is physical enough/highpoints the ball where I thought he could be solid in the league

Understood, but you can't sit there and say he wasn't impressive in college. Dude was real good and would catch mostly anything thrown to him. I figured he would struggle in the NFL due to his speed and not being able to size up everyone.

I think that gruesome knee injury zapped him of a lot of his explosiveness

That said it's way too early to be waiving the white flag on him, not everyone is Odell and sets the league a blaze from his rookie season. Most players don't blossom until year 2 or 3

except that wasn't true of the 2015 class.
Waynes, Kendricks, Hunter, and Diggs all played significant amount of snaps

same of actually the 2014 class too:
Barr, Bridgewater, and McKinnon

sometimes players just suck.

Waynes and Diggs only saw the field due to injuries ahead of them on depth chart

Yeah I understand and I think he could still be good but one catch for a first round pick at wide out is a terrible return on investment

Same height and weight as Anquan Boldin, and slightly faster 40 time. Give him time, he will be fine.

That just isn't overly impressive to me anymore.

I mean I don't know about you, but I like my receivers to catch just about anything thrown at them. Granted, they need to be able to run better than Treadwell, but catching just about any pass in the vicinity is not a terrible attribute to have.

It was his lower leg/ankle. He was never a blazer, but as I recently found out, (thanks to someone close to the program) Ole Miss doesn't even have a playbook. They have specific routes that each of them run and those boys don't learn any of the route tree. He never had to learn since he was physically more gifted than his counterpart most of the time which is why he's going to struggle in the NFL.
