They need to find a way to deal Waiters.

Kyrie can be a top 5 player in the NBA in the next year and a half. Just needs work on pick and roll defense.

Yes I think he will be a top 5 player sometime around 2015 or 2016, and also the best PG in the game.

His defense will improve. It's hard for a 20 YO to be great defending in the NBA.

I love Kyrie. Kid is so fricking clutch. He just shite in Westbrook's face this final 3 minutes.

Westbrook want playing bad D by any means. Irving just decided to go nuts in the 4th. Think he scored 13 in the final 2+ minutes.

Right, but it's his only weakness. His offensive game is about as advanced as any 20-year old since LeBron, especially one-on-one play. Unlike LeBron or Jordan at that age, he gets beat a lot on defense.

Hell, he wasn't even the best defending point guard at Duke, but he has gotten better already.

For fit reasons or because he's not very good?

I'm sure his small size has something to do with that right?

Fit reasons. I've actually been really impressed with Waiters, but he takes the ball out of Kyrie's hands too much.

Fit. He will be very good but he dominates the ball, seems to be reluctant to pass to Kyrie a lot of the time, and is not a great defender.

He's like a worse version of Kyrie, only as a 2 guard.

Obviously Kidd-Gilchrist was taken by the 4th spot, but if they can trade Waiters for an MKG-type (even a lesser version), that would be ideal for the Cavs. Then get another wing in this year's draft, wait for Varejao to heal, and keep developing Tristan Thompson. Not a bad team at all.

Orlando's begging someone to take Redick off their hands for a young prospect. Might be the perfect spot up guy to play off of Kyrie

Zeller has been impressive too. I've actually been happy with the Cavs roster moves since LeBron left. They have a shite ton of young talent. Lots of it just has to continue to develop.

Yeah, but Rondo and Paul are much better than him on D and they're smaller.

But I think he can ultimately be better on offense than Paul. Maybe even before his second contract.

I think he can improve if he's willing.

I've watched Durant and Westbrook both improve defensively the past couple of seasons.

As a Duke fan, I would love that. But I wonder who the Cavs could send to Orlando that they wuold actually want. No way they trade Waiters without getting a guarantee from Redick that he would sign a 4 year deal for $30-35 million or whatever.

JJ's wife will be so depressed moving from Florida to Ohio
