Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood could face a suspension or firing because of impermissible contact with a university faculty member regarding the status of one of his players, two people with knowledge of the situation told NJ Advance Media.

The university's office of general counsel is investigating the severity of the alleged violation, which, the sources said, is focused on an email Flood allegedly sent from a personal account to a faculty member at the university's Mason Gross School of Arts regarding the status of Nadir Barnwell. The junior cornerback is reportedly in danger of being deemed academically ineligible.

Seems to me like Coach tried to lobby a professor to change a kid's grade to keep him from failing. It shouldn't warrant a firing, but perhaps a suspension.

BTW, I literally typed in Kyle Flood in the search function to see if any threads were already made and nothing. So don't even fricking think about calling this OP germans

He needs to get fired if he did it. That is the one big thing you cant do, and he knows it.

Paying players will get you some grace, but fixing grades is the death sentence.

Jackie, Ron, Bobby, and the rest of the outlaws in the SWC never fixed grades, we just bought each others players Firebirds and paid their parents.

No, we let you buy Eric's Firebird and we paid the parents.

I can not confirm or deny what we did with the rest, as Logan Sherwood has advised me to keep my mouth shut and his attorneys will do the talking.

If they can conclusively prove he asked for a grade to be fixed. He will get fired and deservedly so.

How bad is North Carolina that they let a Kyle Flood coached Rutgers team humiliate them in a bowl game.

IF A&M paid for a gold Firebird, the story goes that SMU recouped A&M and finished the payments.

Of course, this is all hearsay that cannot be proven.

I know the story. The Ron McElvey story is better than the Eric the Great Story.

I mean to fool 2 colleges, DeLoss Dodds, and the NCAA that takes talent.

Should most certainly be fired, IMHO. Sucks and I sort of feel for him, but screw that attitude. If you can't derp your way to remaining eligible in college, you don't deserve to be playing.
