How many are getting this one?
For as much as we complain about the state of boxing, Kovalev/Ward is one of those fights between two greats that we get to see before its expiration date. I can't miss this one.

I'm amazed at how little hype this fight is getting. It's probably the best 50/50 matchup we've had in a decade. I'm ordering the fight and having a party at my place. Haven't done that in a long time.

True. I have no idea who's going to win. Kovalev is a killer, but Ward hasn't lost since the Carter administration.
It's the responsibility of anyone that calls themselves even a casual boxing fan to watch this one.

most hyped I've been for boxing in a while, it's gonna be a classic

I have always seen with this match-up was that it was naturally easier for Ward to dissect what Kovalev does and exploit it than it would be for Kovalev to break down wards style and an exploit Ward's mistakes. Kovalev has to fight at a fast pace out of the gate (Something his trainer admitted to interviews to keep ward from building a lead) in order to force Ward to fight that pace and hopefully make a mistake that would result in Ward gambling with something that is rushed or uncharacteristic that can be countered.
I do believe Ward has lost a step, and as with Bernard Hopkins (similar style) sometimes you can see what happening and your body just won't let you react as quickly as you would like. Without the fastest hands, the slickest footwork, and Kovalevs, WYSIWYG work ethic, there isn't much in Kovalev's arsenal that can't be compensated for with a little tweaking strategy.

I think Max Kellerman said it best, as he often does on matters of boxing; Ward is the Bill Belichick of boxing, it's difficult to train for Ward because his style is based on exploiting his opponents weaknesses. He doesn't look the same from fight to fight, so the best way to prepare for a fight with Ward is to work on your own weaknesses.

Kovalev via decision. This is a fight that can go either way....we don't get many big fights that are 50/50.

I bought an mhl adapter JUST for this fight.
I plan on pulling up a feed on Periscope...unless someone has a better option.

Download VLC and watch via Acestream. That's the best out there

Someone will come up with a better option...I have Faith in Tigerdroppings.
Also, I think the Russian will win.

One more fight before the main event.
So we're probably looking at close to midnight.
