This doesnt change that fact.

Only in the context that all coaches are overpaid. In terms of market value, Miles is fairly compensated, maybe even a little underpaid. He'll need to play for another conference title in the near future for that to continue to be true. But in terms of on field accomplishments over his tenure, you won't find many coaches that are better across the country.

Stoops, Brown (for now), and now Sumlin, all make more than Miles with at best equal performance.

Hell A&M has 8 Billion dollars in endowment money, the rest of the ENTIRE SEC has 12.5

The entire A&M system has an endowment of 7.5 Billion. Its 12 schools. I'm sure lots of it is A&M but its not just the school.

Good job a&m.

Best player in CFB and your coach loses 3, then 4(and counting) games his first 2 years and you pay him this. Wow

I get that, but even if the main campus only has 60% of that, they are still the biggest in the SEC and among the leaders in the country.

I think Sumlin is overrated as a coach but he did win CUSA-West at Houston in 2011

Who wants to take bets on how A&M finishes next year without Johnny?

7-5? 6-6?

If their defense allows as many points and yards as they averaged this year, they're going to be in for a loooong season.

And here i used to bitch about Pinkel making 2.5ish+ a year for no conference titles in his tenure.

What a huge over pay. Lol

Last season Les Miles negotiated a $550,000 raise after finishing 2nd in the SEC West. This year, Sumlin and Saban get $2mil raises after finishing 4th and 2nd, respectively.

In two seasons, Sumlin has received $3mil in raises, while finishing at best tied for 2nd in the division.
