This is way to prisoner in the moment type stuff, but that reminded me of LeBron going for 25 straight against Detroit in 07.

Obviously Kawhi had a few mistakes down the stretch.

But he plays like that, getting fouled on every possession. That's super impressive.

I'd rank the top 5 players right now:

LeBron
Westbrook/Harden
Kawhi
Harden/Westbrook
Durant

Edit: Spurs need to get that man help. He is carrying them right now.

It was an all-time great playoff performance down the stretch. But while we were busy watching him, we forgot Memphis was answering with their own big shots.

Though that shot clock going off was suspect.

You can't separate Harden or Westbrook but somehow you can stick Kawhi as better than one but not the other.. just not sure which one that is?

Tony Parker sucks, Manu Ginobili hasn't scored a single point this series, and Pau Gasol is a three point specialist and nothing else at this point.

Duncan is gone, Manu is done, and Parker is running on fricking fumes.

ETA: Pau has to come off the bench and chuck 3's, ffs

Agree with you OP. Kawhi was amazing and it reminded me of that Lebron performance. I think they win this series, but who knows moving forward. If we could only get Tony's contract off the books...

Kawhi is better than Harden. Kawhi is one of the best defenders in the league and Harden doesn't even play defense.

Number of games with more than 7 assists for Kawhi in his entire career: 0

I agree that he is an elite player and one of the best in the league, but he has a long way to go to be in the same tier offensively as LeBron, Harden, Durant, and Russ. Those guys bring it EVERY night on the offensive end.

Why don't you compare those players to Kawhi on the defensive end? ThxIA.

I think most GMs would pick KL first if they were able to pick any player in the world to start their team from scratch.

Plays both ends. Versatile shooter.
Can defend 1 through 5.
