Cant wait till Kaep busts and falls off the map...all these option QBs in NFL won't last long
ok let's say Kaep sheds the "read-option" label and is more of a pocket passer going forward...you don't think he'd have success with that?

this ain't blaine gabbert we talking about here.

All theoretical. All we can really do is look at where they actually play and what the players does in reality with their team.

And clearly Luck doesn't have the overall talent on his team that the 49ers have.

I think you are underestimating the maximum over-rustle from the Saints fans as it pertains to anything 49ers.

Yep. Here is a good question, right now who would take for the next ten years if you had to choose, Kaepernick or Brees? Even my Saints friends laugh at themselves trying to rationalize picking Brees. I get it though, he made the Saints relevant when they were coming off the brink of being moved. Those emotions have some staying power.

Agreed, nor does he have Harbaugh coaching him.

Brees will be better at least half of the ten years.

Next 5 years I take Brees, and then go from there.

better question would be... If you are a GM who do you take for the next 10 years out of Luck, Kaepernick, Wilson or RG3?

I'd go with Luck

My order of preference:

Luck
Wilson
Kaepernick - although it's not all that far off with Wilson

RG3

Coco, what besides your biased opinion makes you think Luck is better than Kaep? There is absolutely nothing on the field that can make you assume that. You are going completely off emotions and hypothetical scenarios. If you look at it purely based on football performance, there is no possible way you can come to your conclusions.

ETA: Im not saying one is better than the other, but the way Coco talks down about Kaep is very strange. It almost seems personal

I'd take Brees this year and maybe next year. At year three, Kaepernick's potential is worth more than an ageing 37 years old Brees.

Five years...

I've stated numerous times why I feel that way. I think I've made logical arguments as to why I prefer Luck.

he is clearly still hurt. Especially late in the game dude was hobbling just to get to the huddle. He definitely does not look right to me.

Just go back and look at the replay of the playoff game when he went down. Knee completely buckles on what was a rather pedestrian maneuver. Andrews is pretty much a miracle worker, but you don't shake that off in only 8 months. You can tell he was tentative.

If you would stop trolling on Kaep they wouldn't be confused.

I agree with you that Luck has played well with less support than Kaep, but at this point we still don't know who will be the better pro.

All factors considered, If I had to choose it would be:

1) Luck or Kaep
2) Wilson
3) RGIII

My point is its all based on feelings and hypotheticals. Literally zero of your points actually has to do with what we have seen on the football field. Judging by what i have seen, they look like they are both going to be great QBs. Sure, one of them may end up falling off, but absolutely nothing we have seen can point to that

Your opinion is wrong. He may be a better QB, only time will tell, but he is not a better athlete than RG3.

Actually he may be right. Kaep is 6'5" 233 lbs with a 4.53 40. RG3 is 6'2" 223lbs with a 4.41. Slight edge to RG3. However, Kaep was drafted out of high school for major league baseball as a pitcher who threw in the 90's. So given that, it isnt wrong to say Kaep is the better athlete

RG3 was a track STAR!!!

quote:

In track, Griffin broke state records for the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles. He ran the 110-meter hurdles in 13.55 seconds and the 300-meter hurdles in 35.33 seconds. The 300 hurdles time was 1/100th of a second short of tying the national high school record at the time. He was also a gold medalist in the 110- and 400-meter hurdles on the AAU track and field circuit. In 2007, as a junior, he was rated the No. 1 high school 400-meter intermediate hurdler in the country, and was tied at No. 1 for the 110-meter sprint hurdler in the nation. His personal best in the 110-meter hurdles, 13.46 sec, ranked fifth in the world among junior athletes (behind Noga, Brathwaite, Dutch, and Zhukov),[7] while his best 2007 time in the 400-meter hurdles, 49.56 sec - his personal best until 2008 - lead all juniors worldwide for that year.[8] Also as a junior, Griffin received the Gatorade Texas Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year award,[6] and was named to USA Today's 2007 All-USA Track and Field team.[9] His personal best in the 400-meter hurdles was achieved on May 18, 2008, with a time of 49.22 seconds.[10]

Growing up, I felt like every time the 49ers met the Packers it would end up in a loss. Damn you Favre, Dorsey Levens, Antonio Freeman, etc.

Having a three game winning streak against the Pack is unheard of to me.

I guess it depends on your definition of athlete. RG3 has better speed and hops, Kaep is physically stronger and excelled at two sports. I dont think its wrong to have either opinion
