Sad. I grew up in Columbus and worked for the Commercial Dispatch. That's pathetic.

I would bet that this weekend wasn't the best representation of Lafayette and it's people. The little bit of recent success the ULL athletic program has experienced has riled up a lot of knuckleheads. I've noticed it the last few times I've been down there for work.

Calm the frick down, Cajuns.

I caught the end of it.
Jay Walker ended the conversation stating he wanted to invite him back to a ULL football game and show him a good time. He said, " I will show you places you would like to live. I will show you places you would like to live, and will never be able to afford." That was a nice little jab haha.

The guy said he would apologize again on his radio show tonight.

I'm no fan of Lafayette and ULL. But, his comment that he drove around for 90 minutes and couldn't find a decent neighborhood might be the dumbest sentence I have ever read on the internet.

Sure it is. That's my point. He probably had a negative experience or two with some cajun idiot so he went on a mission to slander the school/town/team. Cajun fans are really in your face right now. I attribute it to recent success because 4-5 years ago it was nothing like this.

How could you possibly know this to be true?

I didn't listen to the interview, but I work with an office full of ULL boosters, and they said that he stayed on the Northside of town. And apparently the area he was referring to for homes turned out to be Dat Nawt Side.

That was kind of my thoughts, stuck on the Northside. My grandparents and plenty of cousins lived on Mudd right under the old water tower. Some lived on Sterling, back in the 60's and 70's that area wasn't that bad but now it's a shithole.

Actually no they aren't. The butt hurt LSU fans trying to bring the cajuns down because of the obvious.

What do you expect from them since they are on the verge of the CWS? I guess you expect them to just sit there and act like nothing big is going on. shite LSU goes to the CWS a good bit, and people get just as excited and talk just as much shite if not more than a team like ULL that rarely go.

That's the only logical explanation. The southside is really nice. I live by Hampton Toyota and have for years and I've never even heard a cop siren. The Northside of town does suck but to say the Northside represents lafayette as a whole is ridiculous.

Yep, and his comment about people needing to speak Cajun if they plan to go to New Orleans is pure ignorance.
