Watching it, I can't believe Alabama has 2 players in this game. Avery doing work...

His raw numbers ain't much to write home about tonight ...but Collin Sexton is the goddamn truth. At this age, his ability to make shite happen is pretty next level. He's pretty clearly a step ahead on offense.
This new Russ/Oscar commercial is where it's at.

Another thing..
This game has been highly entertaining. Both teams are full effort and the "flashy" plays are all within context of how the game is moving.

These kids are playing incredibly smart. This is awesome.
Sexton plays a bit too fast.

Watching hockey, how's Petty look?
I think Sexton will benefit playing for Avery. It'll help him learn to slow things down and set the offense, instead of wanting to push the ball up court all the time.

He looks like he has the decision making of Rando while playing too goddamn fast.
He quite clearly understands where teammates are when he attracts numbers. He's VERY comfortable handling the ball under the rim. He's aggressive getting to the rim(understatement). He's MORE than fine creating a play for someone else.
He's just really fricking good. Needs to slow down, though. Don't mean that as in he is completely out of control. It looks like he sees things that the other guys don't.
He also doesn't look like as good a shooter as we think.
ETA: You asked about Petty. He's athletic. Haven't really seen enough of him to form an opinion.
Lonnie Walker for Miami is going to murder college basketball. Jesus Christ.

sexton is hot garbage. doesn't understand how to play point guard, yet. the physical talent is there but he's a year away, at least, mentally from being a star in college.

ETA: Seriously, though. Besides moving too fast and being too aggressive, how does he not understand the position?

he doesn't understand pace, passing angles or how to move without the ball. point guard is the hardest position in sports to play you just aren't a point guard because you are short and can dribble. he's gonna be a good one, but he's not there yet.
coleman is much more impressive
