Lyoto Machida has turned down to fight Jones in September so they got Vitor to step in. LINK I don't even know what to say to this. Since Lyoto turned down this shot Dana White wants to make him take another fight before getting a title shot which I think is bs because he wasn't planning on fighting Jones this early.

Yeah, wouldn't surprise me 1 bit if JJ gets a mysterious injury (ie: a pulled armstring from a Greg Jackson massage) right before the fight.
Awesome opportunity for Vitor, with literally nothing to lose. I know he stays in pretty good shape, but I wonder how much he will weigh on fight night. We might see a 30lbs difference......

I like the Vitor fight more than him fighting Chael though. Vitor still is a danger to anyone with his crazy hand speed and if Jones doesn't take him down I think Vitor has a decent chance of tagging him. You are right though the weight difference is going to be huge.

They should just have a tournament. Just have the event and not tell anyone who the main event is. Then announce UFC 151 Jones vs. Affliction T-Shirt Guy!
Line them up, sign a waiver, and get in the cage. Each guy gets a "round" with Jones. A doctor on standby to so each guys forehead shut from an elbow.
