According to the thread on the SEC Rant, they got him on the rule (paraphrasing) where he should have prevented someone else from profiting from his likeness or something like that. No proof on him protifing directly.

So he signed THOUSANDS of autographs and gave the money away like Robin Hood

Miami should burn the NCAA offices down if they get any punishment.

just shows its perfectly fine to accept money as long as its cash and no one talks. The fact that dez got 10 games for telling a lie about a legal lunch with primetime and Johnny hancock get half a game is a joke

So dez bryant gets a whole season for lying about a dinner and not committing any violations and Johnny D-bag gets a half a fricking game?

NCAA is racist.

Why even fricking suspend him if this is the punishment?

The NCAA should just shut their fricking doors if this is true.
To be fair, they should their doors whether this is true or not.

WTF? If they found he did anything wrong a 1/2 game suspension is just stupid. Hell, Russel Shepard got 3 games for telling a teammate what the NCAA asked him in an interview.

Not if the allegations are true.

Whether or not you think he should be able to profit, the current rules in place say that he cannot. Sooo.....
