I'm not sure anymore. A coach last week made a comment that caught me off guard that I wasn't expecting, mentioning budgeting to leave the association next year. I didn't follow up but have some people I'm going to talk to real soon.

unless two certain catholic league schools leave - it's really not plausible....

Mr. Ron Brocato who writes for the Clarion Herald in New Orleans wrote in this weeks article that it's entirely possible that the Greater New Orleans Catholics and Curtis, could well boycott the LHSAA basketball playoffs and hold their own tournament. That would leave Division I with TWO teams: Byrd and Scottlandville to play for the "State Championship."
that would be a huge no-no if they aren't planning on leaving... and no one would take their title seriously if Scotlandville kicks butt with Javonte Smart and the nonselect champ will probably be better too

Evangel would be in there with Byrd and Scotlandville. Not that 3 teams is any better than 2.

not just that, political and socio economic ties across the broad spectrum of selects.

really can be divided up into 2 groups big and small.

the ones in the pickle... are the mid size ones..

This reminds me, would Landry Walker and Karr count in the select or non-select? They should have been before but were given special waivers to not be.

Yeah. You can't really have a school like St Louis or I guess maybe Notre Dame lining up against someone like Hanson Memorial, or Rummel. My examples of mid sized ones may be off, but you get what I'm saying.

you didn't know that? The principals voted to go back to local school districts as attendance zones instead of parish lines, I don't know why.

imagine for a moment that the NCAA found out that Cam really knew that his dad was on the take, and that it was tit for tat;only the NCAA found out in 2015. NCAA pounds Aubie hard, taking 4 scholarships per year for 3 years and "vacates" the NCAA championship.

Do you think ANY Aubie fans will give a damn?

They still got all the glory and the pure enjoyment at the time Cam played.

Wonder what makes them select if they're using OneApp... select NOLA publics like Lusher and Ben Franklin use other criteria for admission than just the app.

I know you know there is nothing to vacate... NCAA FBS football has no official mechanism to determine a national champion, hence the term "mythical"

But if they proved Cam knew his dad did what he did, that 4 scholarships should become 40, then I bet they give a damn

Does OneApp level the playing field with regards to filling up classrooms in Orleans parish? I guess I'm asking are the rest of the schools like Warren Easton, 35 and such all using it as well?

Every NOLA public school uses it now... you list your top three choices on the app, but schools can't select students based off of it. They just try to put as many kids as possible with their first choice

Ah okay. Karr and Walker used to have a different system. Basically they could pull kids from all over Orleans parish but no one else really could.

Talked to coaches from three different schools today and apparently the split is very much still in play. I'm working on getting more info but there was a plan in place before but they did not want to rush.
