I know I know

But.... with living in New Orleans, ties to LA aau circuit and a name a new AD can market would it be that bad of a hire? Struggled at ASU, but its not a basketball rich area by any means or a city.

I have met him multiple times, and he is not the alcoholic maniac people make him out to be, but just for curiosity sake and discussion, would it even be worth a discussion.

A few people have said Pastornek from Arizona would/will be a hot name.

Tulane doesn't care about athletics. There is no reason why they shouldn't have a half decent basketball program.

Well there new AD hire has/was a very solid choice, and his first hire in football seems to have been a good one thus far. Obviously time will tell. But like every program they have advantages and disadvantages.

I just like good basketball, not a Tulane fan by any stretch, father hates them. It is very tough when a great deal of support comes from out of state to any program. Winning truly does cure all.

Just was merely pointing out does a hire like Brady give the program new life or simply drive it further down.

John Brady has never made an NCAA outside of his time at LSU.

Not the easiest thing in the world to do at Samford and Ark St.

Yet decent coaches take programs like that to the NCAA all the time.

Just saying. He's been fired from his last 2 jobs and is 61.

Would it be the worst hire? No. Probably better than hiring the next Citadel coach, but I would go in a different direction.

Tulane needs to hire a fresh face up and coming coach. They need to give new life/energy in their program and a retread hire just won't do it.

How many colleges "retire" a coach a year in advance? If they wanted him fired, they would have just fired him last season.
