Saints do that trade again in a heartbeat.

Stephone Anthony is the Saints signal caller and most consistent defensive player this year. Max Unger has played like Max Unger, the best OLineman for the Saints this season.

Wilson thrives in that run-heavy system.

I actually used to thin this as well, but he's a master of being able to scramble around and make a play out of anything. The difference between him and a Mike Vick or RG3 though is that I don't think I've ever seen him take a big hit. Now if they really do go that route (and if you're paying him 20+mil a year you're gonna have to), can continue doing that with a diminished supporting cast on a routine basis?

Seahawks just need to use JG as a WR. He's a liability if you have him blocking.

I hate agreeing with you, but I agree with you.

Saints did well in this trade, Anthony and Unger have been really good for us. Graham will be fine once they figure out how to use him more.

Saints need to draft DL's and OL's the entire next draft IMO and get a FA big target WR to take Colston's place.

but has there ever been a high-profile deal in any sport that worked out worse for both teams?

This sentence shows your complete lack of football knowledge. How exactly did the Saints lose out on this trade?

Seattle traded for a TE that was a better receiver than blocker, in an offense that is heavily run-oriented, and so far they are struggling to get Graham involved.

The Saints drafted a young MLB who played exceptionally well against Dallas and has improved every week. They shored up their center position with Unger, who Seattle would welcome back in a heart beat (much like the Saints would with Graham).

The Saints' fault was not replacing Graham via free agency or the draft with a tall playmaker on offense. However, looking at the trade with a quarter of the season played, the Saints are the clear winners.

Still, there is a lot of football left.

This, more than anything. How you would call the trade good or bad for either team at this point is a big overreaction.

Seattle has played 4 games, out of the 4 they featured JG heavily in 1 and by far looked the best on offense that game.

Seattle is moving away from the run heavy style they have had the last few years. Lynch is getting old, they just paid Wilson a boat load of money, they had to invest in weapons around him, especially someone that can make plays in the RZ.

I think the trade will workout well for both teams in the end.

You're missing the point. The question wasn't "who won the trade?". Yes, the Saints may have improved in other areas, but if you think the offense struggling to score 20 points has nothing to do with losing a superstar tight end/receiver, then you are wearing homer glasses.
