Arky? yes. Clemson? No. the D was terrible and LSU did not show up against Clemson. Just a feeling of not wanting to be there cause they thought they deserved a better bowl. And the guys knew they were playing in their last game as a Tiger. it was a bad night.

I love when Oregon fans can't talk shite using their own team so they have to use Bama. sounds like you guys do actually belong in the SEC

The Notre Dame game is all anyone is talking about...Stanford lost to Washington last year as well...I guess Washington cheated in that one also?

Stanford has nowhere near the athletes to be top 5 and they should be grateful they don't play in the SEC with that roster.

yea, auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee, and ole miss would've been real tough for Stanford

they get 4-5 SEC wins easily, which would put them in the top half of the conference. they have the type of team that could beat any SEC team on any given Saturday, especially LSU since 3 of the teams I listed above could've beaten them last year. the same LSU team that could've beaten bama.

So...to summarize....just to be clear...Stanford is good enough to beat the bottom half of the SEC.

So are the top 2 or 3 schools in all the major conferences...doesn't make them top 5 either and doesn't
mean either they or Stanford could hang with the top half of the SEC with their current rosters.

Sure LSU has better talent. But that doesn't always translate to Ws. Stanford plays with great fundamentals, toughness and discipline. I also think they are better coached than LSU. That's not a knock on Miles (Shaw has a good staff) but Miles' teams get sloppy with penalties.

Being sloppy and undisciplined frustrates the hell out of me. I sure hope Cam changes that.

It's not all about "athletes". There is a little more to football than that. Stanford (especially under Harbaugh) would do just fine in the SEC. Bama and LSU would give them trouble but they most certainly could play with A&M, Florida, UGA, and South Carolina.

I respect Stanford but I dont beleive the belong in the upper echelon of CFB teams just yet. No BCS titles or title game appearances.
This may be the worst analogy I have ever seen. No BCS title apperance means not upper echelon?

LSUintheNW, that is the most frustrating part about watching this team year in and year out.

Stanford had a young oline and they improved going from Nunes to Hogan. They return everyone on defense.

in a one year hypothetical, yea, but if we're hypothetically saying Stanford is now in the SEC from here on, their funding would increase, recruiting base would be bigger in the southeast, etc, they'd probably become a powerhouse like Bama with the same recruits.

you're missing the point though. the SEC isn't some powerhouse, it's just the top teams. outside of bama, I'm sure Stanford could play with/beat any of the top SEC teams.
