Nice. My high school team had a 4th and 20 one time. Punter bobbled the snap, picked it up, ran around the left edge 60 yards for a touchdown. : csb: Point is, you never know what could happen.

I am going out on a limb and saying the kicker saw a formation that automatically checks it into a fake punt, and had the logical skills of a dead cat to not check out of it.

I mean, players know refs are flag happy these days. Maybe he was counting on a face mask or personal foul/BS targeting call to bail them out. Bold & dumb strategy, but it'd work at a decent clip probably

They showed an angle from behind during game it looked like initially thought may get blocked then it was open.
The PF and hold on 2nd down were bad calls though.

That being said, would have run a fake punt, razzle dazzle, double reverse, wide receiver pass to the punter.

depends on score and time
punting on 4th and 44 seems the right play unless its the last possession
