His offensive system is offensive and he refuses to change it. Gets bounced early almost every year because of inability to score points. One elite 8 and one sweet 16 going in as high seed, and the rest of the 9 years there all round of 32 or less.

I've thought about this as well. It's almost as if his teams are built for the regular season. He seems to always make it there but his record once there has been less than stellar.

It has to be hard to recruit to his style of play. Their roster looks like an average mid major that lacks athletes.

They just lack playmakers.

You want to blame something blame his recruiting. If anything he's overachieving relative to who he's signing.

Do you realize how many coaches you could apply this too?

Jay Wright would be a better Les Miles comparison in terms of accomplishments.

Villanova is tied for the worst record as a 1 seed in the tournament I believe

Idk who you want to compare him to, but I will pick against him every single year simply because his style of basketball is the absolute antithesis of everything that makes the game great.

Every once in a while he'll be able to ride a transcendent player like Brogdon and prove me wrong, but you simply can't consistently win playing that way in the tournament IMO.
