After watching Geno Smith I don't think there is a quality NFL starter out there.

I don't think Barkley is. If u had to pick one I'd say maybe Landry Jones but I think this is the worst bunch in recent memory.

I think Barkley and Tyler Wilson could be OK if they went to the right team. Not worth a first round pick though.

Agreed. As good as last years was, this class is awful.

Yep. The wisest thing to do is judge a QB's quality by how well he plays in ONE GAME in adverse conditions against a defense that has had a month to prepare for him.

Completely disregard the rest of his work.

That's some strong analysis there.

Yeah, I'm not predicting him to be a good one. He just seems to have the size and tools.

I just don't see a winner at all.

Reminds me of the '07 draft with Jamarcus Russell and Brady Quinn as the consensus top two QBs. However, that draft has five players who might be the best players of their generation at their position in Calvin Johnson, Adrian Peterson, Patrick Willis, Darrelle Revis, and Joe Thomas. It shows you that a draft can still be really good and rich in talent without a top QB to choose from.

I've watched him all year man. He appears to be a one read guy and I don't like his delivery. That's jmo though.

Jamarcus Russell had a lot going on for him. If he gave half a frick he could have been good. Terrible pick though. I mean Russell to the raiders is like mixing oil and a dumpster fire.

BTW, I'm not saying that Smith is the next RGIII, but I'm also not writing the kid off based on today's game.

To me, bowl games are probably the worst way to evaluate teams and players for a number of reasons, including but not limited to the month break and the motivation (or lack thereof) factor.

All these QBs seem to have an average record with some really bad losses this year, not sure how many 5-6 loss QBs have been drafted in the 1st the past few years.

It's by no means a deal breaker, but there aren't a lot of "winners" at the top of the class this year.

In the first half of today's game alone there were multiple plays where he went through his progression and got to his third or fourth read.

Agreed.

But to say that he's not an NFL QB is a stretch. I don't think that he's first round worthy, unless it's to a team that already has a QB in place and will groom him.

Is Murray coming out? If so I'll go with him being the best in the class.

I don't see any reason for him to come out.

Weak QB class and he isn't going to grow 3 inches over this offseason.

I've only seen Murray in 3 games this year but he's at the top of of any QB class I missed it.
