While the Braves are one of the best teams in baseball, you are being a little too optimistic.

BJ sucks and will continue to suck. That was a terrible idea to sign him.

Beachy will not be the same pitcher he was right away. He has a phenomenal career ahead and will form a nice duo with Minor at the top of the rotation, but he probably won't be a stud again until 2014. Year 2 is when guys coming back from tommy John seem to fully recover. Look at the difference in wainwright from last year to this.

Unlike most people, I think Uggla has a chance to really figure it out again. I think he could finish with 30 plus homers this season.

Combination of the Falcons/UGA/Bama/AU figs with the tools from LA that aren't quite terrible enough to be Cubs fans. Huge pack of fgts IMO.

Arkansas' #1 preseason ranking is sure on hold, probably for another 100 years

BJ sucks dude. There is no way around that. I guess you could defend his horrendous stats or the fact he gets benched for a minor league talent in Jordan Schafer. Show me how BJ Upton is worth the contract.

Do you really think Beachy will be sporting a super low ERA and a k/9 above 8? Odds are he will not be a shut down ace right away.

The Uggla thing is merely a prediction. He has seven homers in 34 games despite sucking. 30 homers seems pretty reasonable.

The Braves always own April. It's October that's the problem.

It doesn't have to be super low, it just has to be less than Teheran's

this one time, the Braves still haven't played a game with everyone healthy

let alone with Beachy back

you're a dumb count

The Cards closer and ace going into the season both haven't thrown a pitch. Also their SS hasn't played an inning and is out for the season. How's that for not being healthy?

Also, you mad.

Braves are in 1st place with a team that has been injured

Arkansas is in 2nd place 4 games behind LSU after being Preseason #1

After winning the College World Series in the first two weeks of the season, reality has set in and the real cream of the SEC (Vandy/LSU) is again rising to the top.

And no one else has injuries?

Look at the ones I just listed and Cards still have the best record in baseball, it's because they don't make excuses even when they have injuries and have ample replacements ready to step up, kind of like....

also if it makes you feel better to defer to college baseball then fine, as I recall LSU had a better ranking/record than Arkansas last year heading into the postseason as well.

how'd that work out?
