game hitting streak? It should be noted that DiMaggio did reach base safely in 74 straight games, he drew a walk in game 57, then hit in 16 straight games. Williams longest hitting streak for his career was 23 games.

No no no.
56 game hitting streak is the best individual stat of all time by a long shot. Absolutely amazing.
84 games on base is unreal but getting a hit in 56 games is unimaginable

Matt Holliday is currently on a 41 game on base streak, longest to start a season since 2000.

But hitting streak and not close.

Dimaggio because he played his home games in Yankee Stadium which was brutal for right handed hitters while Williams played his home games in the bandbox known as Fenway Park.

I didn't know about Williams 84 game on-base streak, so I'm going to say that the 56 game hit streak is more impressive.

Ted Williams had a higher batting average than DiMaggio had during his streak.

And dimaggio got robbed twice by cleveland's 3rd baseman or the hitting streak would have been 74 too

Even Joe D himself denied this. Once the streak ended, he admitted, "the pressure was off".

I'll take williams on base streak just cause I don't see a logical reason why it isn't better and everyone else said DiMaggio

It isn't better because a great hitter is going to draw a lot of walks due to pitchers not wanting to pitch to him. Therefore an on base streak can be depended on the opposing pitchers trying to pitch around the batter.

On the other hand, the hit streak is all on the batter

Should be able to figure out, using their numbers, which one is less probable from a pure statistical standpoint.
But as mentioned the 84 is definitely more "important."
