I thought they were on a 2 or 3 yr bowl ban, buy I see the AP ranks them. Does the AP rank a team regardless?

Ohio State is stupid as shite for not imposing a bowl ban last year.

No they are not bowl eligible, i believe it is a 1 year ban and yes the AP ranks teams on probation.

i don't think the AP cares about NCAA violations.....i could have sworn that they had USCw ranked last year.

It's a one year bowl ban....they should have self imposed one last year when they were in a transition period

The AP can still rank them, just like they did with USC last year and Auburn in 93. Probably Bama in 02 as well.

My opinion is not popular with other Ohio State fans, but I'm glad it's this year. We could go undefeated in this shitty B1G. An undefeated B1G champ would rightly be jumped by every 1 loss team but would still go to a BCS bowl...and be eviscerated. I'm glad we'll be watching the B1G's New Year's slaughter at home.

I just feel like why impose a bowl ban when there was "no possibility" the NCAA would impose one. That was the word our AD got from the NCAA, so what is he supposed to do? Bowl ban anyway and lose out on money and a bowl trip for the seniors last year? No one knows the story but everyone inside OSU said they had no idea a bowl ban was actually coming

We'll be better and the B1G can't be worse.

not sure how you can come to that conclusion...Purdue, MSU, PSU, Michigan, Nebraska all lose a lot...and some at key positions (QB)

It will be Ohio State dropping a napalm on the entire conference once again.

There's only one other team in the AP poll; M*ch*g*n at #25. Yeah those teams are losing "talent" but how talented is that talent when their team sucks so hard?

Michigan might improve with Denard being gone and even a bad pro style qb

yeah, right on, typically when a team loses 95% of their offense they improve the following year. ..

well, yeah, the shitty talent is going to be replaced by even shittier talent. if the younger players were more productive; they'd play.

on the other hand, OSU is playing a lot of young guys; more so than the other conference teams.

that experience, plus the talent advantage they already have will equal essentially a sleep walk to the B1G title next year.

i can not even think of a single team who will challenge OSU next year? NW?

Not sure if he meant the B1G or tOSU alone, but clearly tOSU will only get better(barring injuries, of course).
