The man is an efficient scorer and has just won the DPOY back to back. I strongly believe he'll make a push for an MVP in a couple years.

Lebron still better if taking into account both ways.

He will finish 2nd in the MVP this year. But as long as Steph is playing like he is, Kawhi won't make a strong push.

As far as best two-way player, I'm biased so I have would him the nod. Paul George and Draymond are definitely in the same whelm.

He's a better defender than LeBron, but he isn't as good as LeBron offensively. the difference b/w their offense is larger than their defense so LeBron > him IMO.

I think the same can be said with him and Durant.

You wouldn't get any argument for me if you put him as #2 or #5 if we're talking the top 5 in the league...they're so close it gets really minuscule.

I heard on ESPN radio they were talking analytics, and Kawhi based on the raw data, Is the best two way player in the league.

About 2 years ago the Clippers announcer said that he thought Kawhi Leonard was a future Hall of Famer. I remember thinking to myself, this guy has gone off his meds. Turns out he may be right.

I knew he was a pretty good shooter. I did not realize he shot 44% 3 this season though until it was mentioned the other night.

I think through the end of february he was shooting 49% or so from 3. It was just march-april he's shot more down to earth at 34%

I will give a slight edge to lebron. He is still a freak even though he has an OLD 30 year old body. 6-7 years ago it wouldn't be close.

So he isn't quite better than LeBron. Is LeBron all round better than steph? Or is steph so far ahead offensively that he is just the best?

Probably so.

He's an elite, lock down defender that guards the Lebrons and Durants of the world. 2x DPOY. And is scoring 21ppg at an extremely efficient rate. Shoots 50.6% from the field, 44.3% from 3, and 87.4% from the FT line. Borderline 90/50/40 player.

He's the only player that's top 10 in both Offensive and Defensive Win shares in the NBA (7th in OWS and 2nd in DWS).

Just like in every argument about who is the best player at ________, you can make the case for a few guys. But there's no denying that Kawhi is an elite player at both ends of the floor. And IMO, he's the best 2 way player in basketball right now.

I can't see Kawhi putting a team on his back like Kobe, LeBron, and other greats. I mean, maybe he can but I just can't see it

Lebron despite not being good from 3 this year still toyed with people when he had the ball. He'll ramp up his defensive intensity in the playoffs and be neck and neck with Leonard.

It's close tho.

I agree. When LeBron plays with fire, he's the best. Kawhi is the closest thing to him as a two way player
