UFC payouts aren't very high, so good luck getting to that million.

After becoming the next rocky beating a Lebron-esque athlete UFC champion twice my size id easily get a mil on endorsements alone

And then id get a Mil easy on the title defense.

That and he was an enigma (is he a good guy who loves boxing history or is he a purse snatching thug who might deck you during the ring walk) who provided cartoonishly violent endings for tomato cans and aged brand names.

Like the Klitchkos. I bet the heavyweight scene is huge in Europe. That's where the champs are.

Heavyweight boxing is "dead" in America but it's HUGE in Europe, especially in England/Russia/Ukraine. We actually have some pretty solid fighters coming up the ranks right now but they lack the personality/style to become stars in the US. Not to mention, no one on earth will do anything in the division as long as the Klitschko's are around.

In America, great boxing is between 140 and 175.

So Kimbo and thousands of others off the street can step in the octagon and knock out Jon Jones & Jose Aldo? Sounds like a low rent argument to me

This sounds like a low rent statement of what's he saying.

How about your work on your touchy/defensive persona a little more?

Brock Lesnar started MMA training in 2007
Brock Lesnar was signed to UFC in 2007
Brock Lesnar was UFC heavyweight champion in 2008

This is illustrative of what the kid is saying. And it's fricking true. You haven't refuted it; instead opting for limped-dick "you don't know wtf you're talking about" responses. Tell us why. Actually try to complete a goddamn thought.

No, it's your strawman restatement. You take what he said. Exagerrate beyond what he was saying until it sounds ridiculous. And then respond to the exagerrated statement you just made up.

I know the routine. Try to stick to the rules, okay.

What I am saying is. Given the opportunity, I am sure there are hundreds if not thousands of men out there that could step in the octagon and get a win off of top UFC Talent. There are not a whole lot of people walking the planet that could put on the gloves and go twelve rounds with the likes of Mayweather or Pacquiao.

This is his exact quote. He thinks there are thousand of people out there who could beat up top tier ufc talent (ie: Jon Jones)

Please remind me again why this is not a retarded argument and how I'm in the wrong? Don't you have some Serena Williams thread to start?

That's true. Brother in law is British...

And they've had fighters to support...

Lennox, Prince, Hatton, Calzaghe...

I suppose it wasn't as popular when America was dominating the HW and Middleweight and Lightweight...

But once the void is there...the rest of the world jumps in and loves the sport anew.

Deontay Wilder

It's time Golden Boy starts putting him in the ring with some good fighters. He's been a pro 4 1/2 and 95% of the fighters he's faced have been tomato cans.

Some think Golden Boy isn't real confident in him at the moment and they're waiting for the Klitschko's to retire/decline before matching Wilder with contenders.

His 100% KO rate is nice and all but when you look at those fighters, it's laughable. Audley Harrison is a good name but he gets knocked down if the damn ceiling fan is blowing too hard.

Bryant Jennings is a much more developed American heavyweight and he didn't turn pro until 2010.

Yea there is no heavyweight American that can complete with a European right now. But we got "MONEY" Mayweather the top welterweight. It'll be interesting to see what Alvarez can in this fight. Also, J. M. Marquez vs T. Bradley coming up in Oct.

For $75, Golden Boy better put Garcia-Matthysse AND Lara-Trout on the undercard. I don't see it happening, but for $75, they better put together a bada$$ card top to bottom.

I think it's dumb that HW boxing isn't more popular in the states simply bc there aren't any elite Americans. The Klitschkos should be huge over here....household names.

Seriously, that's cool.

See what he thinks about fighting Klitchko. Maybe bring the heavyweight title back to the USA.
