Is Fowler the best PBP guy in football?

I can't think of another guy I'd pick over him to call a big time game, he is just awesome

The guy they put out to pasture... Mr Musberger is better, Al Michaels is better, Nessler is just as good too, even Verne 15 yrs ago was excellent... Those guys, especially Brent, Al, and Verne all have "big game" voices., Fowler is getting there, but not yet.

He's getting better, but pretty meh overall IMO. I never understood them putting him on games, but I guess he probably got tired of Gameday.

I hate that Nessler left ESPN, but I'm glad that Blackledge got paired with another great PBP guy in Tessitore.
Also very much looking forward to listening to Nessler on the SEC/CBS telecasts next year when Verne finally retires.

I don't think he is great, but it could be the pairing with Herbie that I don't love. Herbie was fun with Musberger but I think Fowler is too boring of a guy to pair up with the somewhat straight Herbie. Put Fowler with Palmer on Thursday night games and someone else with Herbie in the big games. Okay yeah I guess I don't like Fowler.

I hate listening to Fowler. That's just me. He sounds like Randy Marsh when he gets excited in big spots.

Keith Jackson was GOAT..."the voice of college football."
Musberger filled in well in CFB and is iconic in other sports as well like Jackson was.
In pro, it's Al who as we know also did Olympics like Jackson.
Fowler isn't in those guys league.
