I think you are confusing 2014 with 2013. After beating BC on Sept 28 48-34. FSU did not have a game closer than 4 TDs'. They beat Florida 37-7 and Duke 45-7 the last 2 before the BCS CG. What Kelly means most likely is that the SEC had won 7 straight going into that game.
