I don't think Bill Simmons was looking for the best Tinder profiles each week

Not a knock against Barstool because like someone else said, it's a good way to get through the work day

Pardon My Take is the only podcast I've ever listened to..

They're going to get bigger and bigger names for interviews in the next year

Barstool is absolutely killing it right now. I'd never really been a fan, but I've been hooked ever since I started listening to Pardon My Take over the summer. I now check their website every day when I get home from work to catch up on my news for the day.

The Barstool podcast network is crushing the Ringer right now and their website has completely replaced Deadspin for me.

And their Facebook Live content is gold. Watching Big Cat have a panic attack live during game 7 of the WS was one of the greatest things I've ever seen.

I think his point was Simmons wanted the Ringer to be the hip website that connected him to a younger audience and allowed him to stay relevant by pandering to the Southern Cal SJW crowd

Barstool took his original mantle as the "everyday sports guy" technique and turned it up 10 notches and did it better

Turns out appealing to the larger audience (18-40 year old bros) is more profitable than trying to appeal to 12 different genders and hammering down the views of one side of the extreme

Can you imagine that dude in an LSU smock and giving post game interviews every week?

This must be the feeling of head over heels that the Facebookers got over O

Barstool used to be cool. I read it everyday.

Then Deflategate happened and now I cant stand the site at all. They were the biggest douchebags in the world about the whole thing and can't stand Pres or Feitelberg anymore.

Big Cat is awesome though. I don't read the site anymore because I literally despise Pres, but I respect what they've done. They had a brilliant business model that likely everyone on this site has talked about doing 100's of times with their bros when they were drunk, but they actually did it.

There it is....

LINK

a good example is the above article, its a write up on Noah's Daily Show interview with Tomi Lahren. They did a good job of calling out the bullshite on both sides.

No one is saying its high brow stuff....but that's kind of the point.

He was awesome and actually loved giving that interview. The PMT guys...um, style...can throw guys like Fleck off sometimes.

Chael Sonnen of all people right before that didn't seem to get it at all.

I think by the end of it he figured it out but it took him a second

That's what impressed me was that he "got it" instantly. With a rah rah coach like that you'd think he would be just stone wall on it but he seems down to earth

As cartoonish as O is, I can't see him actually being smart enough to understand what is happening if they interviewed him

I think he finally got it on the steroids question.

It wasn't their best interview, but it wasn't Carissa Thompson or AJ Green bad.
