But when he went west he kind of fell off the map, no?

I think so. Hard to deny the nagging injuries he has had has had some impact his last year in St Louis and first couple in Anaheim. When he is healthy he is still a dangerous hitter in MLB. Is he worth 25-30 mil a year? No, dont think so but he can still do some damage.

I was surprised to see him in the HR derby. He must be 100% healthy

Cool stat. I'm bummed Stanton got hurt. I'd watch the Derby just to see him crush.

Absolutely. Albert Pujols will be relevant until he retires.

I don't know, I just wonder how long his WoW factor will keep us MLBers intrigued?

26 HR, 56 RBI so far this season and his team is knocking on first place door. I would say so.

Hitting 50 points below his career average, but the power is still there.

Well, honestly, "MLBers" will and should be intrigued as long as he is playing because he is one of the few breathing 1st ballot HOF players active right now.

How can an MLB fan not understand Albert Pujols' position in the scope of MLB and its history.

This is coming from someone who would love to not give a shite about what he does now.

Yea this is a pretty strange question but I've also never really seen Paul troll about baseball so I'm rather confused

It's truly a timing question.

His Cardinals numbers are off the charts.
But out west has he not laid kinda low?

His Cardinals numbers pretty much put him in the HOF. All he has to do is coast on in at this point. I hate that he left. The irony of having one of the best teams in Cardinals history at the All Star break with a huge gaping hole at 1B isnt lost on me.

That being said, he isnt worth 25 million this year and he sure as hell isnt worth 30 million at 41 years old.

He is going into the HOF first ballot. That should make him and his accomplishments from here on out relevant to baseball fans. Just saying.

you could easily make an argument that if he stays at this pace he'll easily be worth his money this year. Prob by a good margin.

Now your point about him at 41 is prob dead on
