In your honest opinion - top 25 jobs in college basketball?

things fluctuate in this sport more than many others. Think about some of the programs which have come and gone from the elite ranks over the years. Seton Hall, UNLV, Utah, Arkansas, etc. Curious to know what you think. I think it's very subjective and arguments can be made for several programs.
1. Kentucky
2. UCLA
3. Kansas
4. North Carolina
5. Duke
6. Louisville
7. Indiana
8. UConn
9. Syracuse
10. Florida

VCU is not Top 20 that is ridiculous

Not sure how you can have teams like VCU, LSU, and GT and exclude teams like Gonzaga and Cincinnati. I know it's subjective but I'd think you have to find a spot for those two. Iowa State is another one with pretty good basketball tradition.
Gotta find a spot for Wake Forrest too

Not sure how you put VCU over a program like Gonzaga and other teams in major conferences.

I would put Louisville in the second tier

should be ahead of LSU. They have great facilities and fan support.

1. North Carolina
2. Duke
3. Kentucky
4. Indiana
5. Kansas
6. UCLA
What the top 2 schools provide in support from the school and media in a single-minded focus and academics is unprecedented in the sport.

LSU would be 26-35 IMO

UCLA has better academics than both, a far better location and a conference that will allow you to sleepwalk in to an NCAA bid some years

Not nearly the support.
UCLA is confused as to what it wants to be.
The fanbase is hit and miss...and support wanes if not great.
Granted - you walk on campus...in the bookstore and it's all basketball stuff...but they still think they are all-in as a Uni in succeeding in football and spend lots of time and money on women's and Olympic sports.
They aren't single-minded...and don't get the media love/support/adoration...like UNC/Duke as pure basketball schools.

UCLA has better academics than Duke? And both Duke and UNC have picturesque campuses. Durham does suck arse though.

LSU in the top 25? Are you serious?
ETA: Wouldn't have Oklahoma in there, either. And probably not Georgia Tech. I also find Virginia questionable. Great season last year, but I'd still say Maryland is a better "job". Just my opinion.

I would have to have all three of Marquette, Nova and St. John's in there. All three have basketball as the clear top dog, all have good historical success, good access to talent (Milwaukee might not produce as much as Philly or NYC, but it's only 90 miles north of Chicago). Unfortunately, I think the destruction of the old Big East has hurt those schools, but still great jobs.
ETA: I'd even throw in Wichita State in the top 25, too.

So does UCLA tbh...and you're still stuck in Durham or Chapel Hill...and well, North Carolina.
As a coach...wouldn't trade Westwood for anything...all the post-card amenities of Los Angeles without feeling like you're in Los Angeles.
I don't know how in CFB any coach for Nebraska gets through the days in Lincoln or god forbid, Riley in Corvallis.

And New Mexico and Memphis?
Just because they've had recent success doesn't make it a top job.

Florida should be tier 2 IMO.

Maryland has the local talent, facilities, and fan support to be a Top 15 job, but they can't get the local talent to stay home...

Ranking a top 25 is too difficult.
I would include Tennessee, Arkansas, Maryland, St. John's, Stanford, Marquette and a few others before the 3 bolded at 19-21.
