does anyone else find it a bit alarming that USC catapulted 5, I repeat, 5 spots in the coaches poll for beating a team they were supposed to beat? The same team that UGA beat in their own stadium just a few weeks ago? Call me a kook, but it looks to me like the biased pollsters are going ahead and making sure the Trojans make up ground they won't get later on down the season against teams that will not be ranked, much like ASU wasn't. What a complete and obvious travesty.

Please, someone convince me there's not a conscious effort by the pollsters to make sure there's not another SEC champion this year. I'd love to hear it.

well if you ask the Gumps, nobody will jump them because they are ALABAMA and have tradition and Bear Bryant.

dont really understand this either. im fine with them keeping their spot as did uga. we traveled 3000 miles to look just as good as they did when asu still had shite to play for. frick the voters. i dont really mind the rankings right now bc i know itll all play out, but i just hate the bias.

Penn State, Texas, and Alabama moved up.

Missouri and LSU both lost.

Texas Tech had an ugly win over Nebraska who just got blown out by Missouri last weekend.

They jumped BYU because of wins by both Virginia and Ohio State yesterday.

No use trying to convince you if you believe something that insane to begin with.

The only thing I hope the pollsters do is to avoid a rematch in the bcs nc game. If Texas and OU win out, that could very well happen

I think it's atrocious that UGA dropped lower than USC when they lost on the same weekend, and USC lost to a not-so-good unranked team while UGA lost to #8.

Georgia got blown out at home. USC lost a close one at Corvalis. I don't really think one is much better than the other, but the fact that USC has a better chance of running the table is heavily factored into putting them ahead of other one-loss teams.

we lost by 5 more points than they did (i think they lost by 6, 27-21?) to a team ranked probably like 40 places higher.

Well as long as the media keeps on performing verbal fellatio on USC and even the Luckeyes they will always be in the mix of things. No matter how good/bad they are.

But if....a huge if...Georgia comes back and goes undefeated and wins the SEC and assuming USC still has 1 loss, doesn't Georgia deserve to go the national championship game over USC?

Almost every analyst yesterday on CFL said that they couldn't understand how USC was ranked so high and ahead of UGA/TT. It isn't up to ESPN/media. It's the coaches, too.

Seems like Alabama and Florida are the SEC's best hope of a NC.

Hopefully we can win against both of them and at least make a case for the us getting the bump. USC will have to lose another one, unfortunately, but the computer rankings may not be so kind to them either.

i wouldn't automatically put off LSU and UGA. whoever wins that game needs to win out and beat either an undefeated BAMA team in a rematch, or us beat a 1 loss UF in a rematch.

that sort of negates the loss's that were so ugly by coming back and beating the team later in the season when more is on the line.
i would think that would trump any big 10 1 loss team and USC, since USC doesn't have a championship game to avenge their bad loss.

alot has to happen, but it's not a long shot if one of the two wins out and avenges their loss.
