Saints didn't have Marshawn Lynch from a yard away.

That was the Saints STRENGTH.. Passing.

Seattles STRENGTH is Lynch.. From the 1 yard line.. I would consider a QB sneak with a timeout in my pocket too..

It was a terrible call. But it was a great game.

The Saints have struggled mightily in those situations to pickup 1 yard on the ground.

Came after the Saints had already been stuffed twice with goal to go inside of the 2.

another team once successfully ran a slant route, therefore it wasn't a bad call.

Love the logic, Fox.

That it's not some head scratching call. Seattle lost because Brady threw 4 TDs

Not a comparable situation. Lynch would've scored, there's no question: they also had a timeout.

You run the ball there.

and the situations are still not comparable.

if its 4th or even 3rd down after getting stuffed like NO did? Sure, a pass is (more) acceptable and the situation is comparable.

On 2nd and 1 when you have a time out and a RB that has been moving the pile all game long?

nah

Shockey had one on one and split out wide and no Lynch.

Well, if the premise is that Seattle lost because New England scored more points, I couldn't agree more.

However, the play call, considering the distance, time on the clock, having a timeout, the personnel and the success of said personnel in running the ball in those situations made it a really dumb call.

In your defense, the execution was just as bad.
