I'm amazed at Michigan's turnaround this season.

Basically the same team of misfits as last year and Jim Harbaugh has this team playing top 10 football in his first year on the job. I wonder how long it will take before he makes Urban Myer to take a "leave of absence" and start looking for another job. After this season, I think within three years Urban will be looking to get the hell out of Columbus.

You could tell during that Utah game that he was going to be a good addition to UM. At the time, I didn't even think Utah was legit TBH

Quite an amazing turnaround so far.

Anyone else remember the meltdown by HailHailMichigan or whatever after the Utah loss?

No one should be. Harbaugh is a good coach and Brady Hoke did recruit talent.

Harbaugh wins everywhere and he's weird and he's awesome.

And I got roasted for saying that Michigan, early in the year when they were struggling, was my disappointing team. Everyone was like, "No, you stupid frickface. This was expected, you fricking dumbfrick."

They have pieces to do some damage in a weak conference and what I'm seeing now is what I expected to happen for them this season.

Everyone knew he'd be good, but damn, Harbaugh appears to be way ahead of schedule with this latest string of performances. I just can't understand how one guy can turn around a team so quickly.

They have played well. But their run of success has been against playing teams inexperienced at the QB position.

Oregon State - Freshman QB
UNLV - BACKUP Freshman QB
BYU - True Freshman QB
Northwestern - Freshman QB

Defensive talent was there, so he doesn't deserve a ton of credit for that. But, for making an anemic offense with very few playmakers somewhat serviceable, he deserves all of the praise in the world.

Victories over

2-3 Oregon State (1 FBS win over San Jose State)
2-4 UNLV (1 FBS win over Nevada)
4-2 BYU (an okay team with a home win over Boise)
2-4 Maryland (1 FBS win over South Florida)
5-1 Northwestern (they look like a good team with 2 quality wins)

They have two wins over quality teams. Both were home games. The rest were against bottom feeders.

They're good. Nobody knows if they're that good.

They're lucking their arse off with their schedule. Their three toughest conference games are at home, and their only true road test remaining is Penn State. We'll find out how good Penn State is this week.

But the way their schedule is playing out, any above-average team would cruise to 9-3. 10-2 is not at all unreasonable for this team.

You shouldn't have been. However, the media made it out to be like things were really bad at Michigan when they weren't. They didn't win games last year but their defense was ranked in the top 10. They brought in the best OL classes from 2012-2013 in the country probably, and the last staff didn't do a good job of developing. Taking all that talent on the OL, who are all juniors and seniors now and mature, and developing over an offseason has made their OL average to good. They are relying on defense and running the ball, with some QB play mixed in (with mixed results).

I said 9-3 before the season
