I wonder if there was any discussion on this board about Beckman and the "Oskee" thing. It may have not sat well with the Illini faithful.

If Illinois ever started caring about football they could be great. The administration at the school cares very little about athletics though. May be big changes coming at the very top too though.

They fired him due to potential lawsuits from ex-players IMO.

Yeah, Zook was terrible, he got Illanoy to their 1 and only BCS bowl. Man was he horrible.
Nutt won't sniff a BCS bowl at Illinois, let alone a New Years day bowl. Keep dreaming.

You're an idiot. Zook couldn't coach for shite. He had great coordinators that coached up his recruits. He also led a 6-0 team to a 6-6 finish.

Say what you want about the B1G but if they can add a few more top level coaches to go with Meyer, Harbaugh, Dantonio and Franklin, they will be turning a corner.
The B1G East is going to be stacked this year, perhaps the best division in football.
