Not Win, but you never know with either UT or OK.

TCU is only losing 2 starters on Defense and 3 on Offense (one of whom wasn't even playing tonight).

They may have some difficulties next year - but they shouldn't lose more than a couple in conference play. They're going to be really good 2013 and beyond (last year was their first time to have a Top 40 recruiting class - This year's is Top 25).

I mean they haven't had a win this season that shows me that they will perform well against an elite school

They started this season with 6 returning starters (3 on Offense and 3 on D)... That's especially rough on the Defense(with that weird 4-2-5 they play).

I don't see a team losing to SMU one year, then beating oklahoma or texas the next year. i dont care if they keep all of their starters

Tech beat Ole Miss by more than Auburn, Arkansas, Georgia, and BYU did. They're better than you think.

Tonight's game means nothing going forward to TCU honestly.

can't base next year off one game this year.

Tech lost to

Miss ST in OT
USM- 19-17
houston- 35-34

Tech isn't that bad for a middle tier team in a middle tier conference.

You didn't see that game. In the first half alone - SMU basically 21 points off of their C-USA Zebras. Phantom roughing calls twice when TCU had them stuffed and at least 2 phantom PI calls when there was NO contact. Not to mention twice when the official stepped into the pattern of a TCU WR as the ball was arriving. It was one of the worst officiating jobs I'd ever seen.

Complaints were lodged and calls for attention to be paid at the half and the game ended up in OT.

Not that I blame SMU... Just their boosters.

While I'm on the subject - I am glad SMU didn't lose June Jones, though. I've met him and several of his Asst. Coaches - Great bunch of guys who really care about their players and their program.

A team looking to move to a stronger conference shouldn't have kept it that close in the first place

Did 2010 LSU's games vs. Tennessee, Ole Miss, Arkansas, etc... mean anything going forward to 2011?
