If an MLB team was to move (say the A's or Rays) to San Antonio, could it work?

Can San Antonio support an MLB team?
If they could, do you put the stadium downtown? Or do you put it in San Marcos to try to get the Austin crowd too?
Hell, it can't be worse than what the Marlins and Rays currently get.

Can't go wrong, and yes it would work, except don't expect another AL team to be added to Texas.

Where do the Missions go then?

I'm sure it would work. But for me, it would hair be another generic bland boring Texas team
Besides the Cowboys, their all so damn bland.
(Notice I didn't mention success)

SA will get a MLS team before any other professional team IMO.

Yeah the Spurs don't know shite about success
I honestly don't know how you could find anything about the Texas NBA triangle bland between the Spurs winning everything, Cuban and the Rockets soap opera

You got that right. I have lived here 20+ years now, never been able to get into local pro DFW sports even to back up my teams when they are bad.
hate the Cowboys so that is a nonstarter, rest are meh

The Colorado Springs AAA team is moving there after next season.

The Rays are staying put. Dwi.

Yeah, SA is getting triple A in 2019. Mayor is trying to get a downtown ballpark built to replace that dirty place off of US-90.
Double-A Missions are likely moving to Amarillo to play in a new park they are building.
Colorado Springs franchise is coming to SA.

As far as SA goes they would be a small market team, MSA only 2.3M and no regional draw.
