Kibbie Dome GOAT. Boise dodged them. Undefeated in bowls.

I remember doing a create-a-team in an NCAA game, and I chose to play my home games in the Kibbie Dome, just because I thought the name was funny, and it was the weirdest looking stadium by far.

I live in Idaho and listen to the Boise sports radio station on the way home.

The guys pointed out something the other day regarding Idaho's final game this season.

It's on the road against Georgia State at Turner Field in Atlanta.

On December 3rd.

You know, the same day and city as the SEC Championship Game.

They were taking bets that less than 500 people would be in attendance.

It's too bad EA stopped with FCS schools near the end of the series run b/c there are several Big Sky and Missouri Valley schools that have little domes like that.

I always wanted a story mode w/a stadium builder where you could take a small FCS school from a tiny stadium to a major conference while slowly upgrading their facilities.

To think, Idaho was a member of the pre-Pac Ten Pac-Ten.

Where in ID? I usually try to make it up to Sun Valley/Stanley when I can. Weird to know someone on here lives there.

Didn't Dennis Ericson coach there for a year or so?

RIP Vandals of FBS!

Their 1929 team lost to Oregon, Oregon State, Wazzu and USC by a combined score of....

174 - 14

Their only wins were Montana, Montana St., Whitman, Idaho Southern.

The writing was on the wall after just 7 seasons in the conference. The 1937 and 1938 seasons were Idaho's only winning seasons in football between 1927 and 1959. Can't believe Idaho actually lasted in the Pacific Coast Conference before it dissolved for the Pac-8 in 1959.

Idaho was the premier college of the state for awhile. Remember, Boise was still a junior college in the '70's. In fact, Idaho still has better academics.

I'm stationed at Mountain Home AFB about 30 minutes East of Boise off I-84. It's only about 90 miles from Sun Valley.

I've been here for 4 years so my time is almost up. I'm moving to Prattville in less than a month. I took a special duty assignment at Gunter Annex.

They certainly started off with a bang and then things went South for half a century.

Following the First World War, Thomas Kelley led the
Vandals for two years and then left for Missouri.

He played college football as a tackle at the University of Chicago under head coach Amos Alonzo Stagg and was previously the head coach at Alabama.

In coach Robert Mathews' four seasons as head coach, the Vandals' first years in the Pacific Coast Conference, they won three consecutive rivalry games over Washington State and he remains the only Idaho head coach to date with multiple wins over Washington State.

Oh, well good luck. Would be a bummer to be forced to Prattville from ID.

What's the terrain like up there? Is there a lot of flatlands and mountains or mostly flat?

The Rockies run up the state. 60% of the state is federal land.
