I still am not sure how UVa and Duke are both getting 1 seeds?

With most of the projections out there they are both listed as 1 seeds. Not that they are deserving, but one of the two will have a loss this weekend, due to the ACC tourney. There was a similar situation in 95 with UK and Arkansas going into finals of SEC as ranked 3 and 5.
I think the 1 seeds should be
UK
Winner of ACC
Arizona
Wisconsin

They should if they win the ACC, but they are the 2 seed in their own conference. That to me does not justify a 1 seed. If they were the 1 in ACC and lost in the ACC I can see the argument even better.
But both do not deserve the 1, IMO.

It opens up the debate of would you want a 1 seed out west or a 2 closer to home.
Obviously this year you'd rather not be a 2 in UK's bracket but 1 seed out west is still going to be on UK's side at least.

Duke has a better resume than Arizona even with one more loss. Quality wins or losses, either way it isn't that close.
However it's rare to see Wisconsin be the most western 1 seed.

Villanova is getting one over either Arizona or Wisconsin if they win their conference tournament. I'm guessing UVA loses in ACC tourney and falls off the 1 line and Wisconsin gets the last one if they win the B1G tournament.

And why is everyone forgetting about Villanova? Higher RPI than Wisconsin, 11-1 record v. RPI top 50 to Wisky's 8-2, and unlike Wisconsin, no losses to a team ranked 100+ in the RPI. I think the Cats are clearly ahead of the Badgers in getting a one-seed (assuming both win their conference tourneys).
I'd go Kentucky, Zona, Vilanova, ACC tourney champ as my one seeds.

That would be weird. Could be Nova out west too.
I think Uconn came out of the West in 2011. Duke was sent out there as the 1.

But the question is, did they win the ACC? No they technically did not. So that to me is a factor. If they win the ACCT I have no issue with them being the 1.
But if Wisconsin and Arizona win the PAC 12 and B1G tourneys they will have something Duke does not, A regular season and tournament championship.

I agree with this...Only if Wisky and Zona win their conference titles.. If one of them fall, Nova should get the other...IMO Nova should get a #1 ahead of Duke anyway.....

Conference finish is a listed factor in determining seed. It's not dispositive, but it is hardly irrelevant. Winning your conference title means something. It's not impossible for Duke to get a one seed, but it is more difficult because their resume is missing that line item.

After this weekend the 1's will be UK, Duke, Villanova, Wisconsin. 2's will be Virginia, Arizona, Gonzaga, Kansas or Maryland.
