I have done all three Spartacus, p90x, and insanity. I am looking for something new to try. Anyone have a good one to share or suggestions

Thanks

Which one is the best for beginners?

Edit: have you tried Crossfit yet?

I haven't done crossfit I find it intriguing but I do my workouts at home. I guess I could download the WOD and do it but I have heard that the competitiveness of working with others makes crossfit what it is

Yeah, I do crossfit. And what you said is right. If you were doing the WOD by yourself, you wouldn't push yourself near as hard or get the full effects of the workout. I did p90x, and didn't think that was a good workout. I like crossfit, though. Haven't tried insanity or spartacus though so take it fwiw

Can't you just work out without someone telling you what to do? Seems like you have enough of a background that you could come up with your own routine and not have to pay for the new HIT workout (assuming you pay for such thing, which I would not).

When ya'll say Crossfit, are ya'll talking about the gym that has intense training classes and what not?

Because we just got one here and I'm wanting to give it a try...but it's like $120/month from what I hear.

It differs from gym to gym. I get a student discount and pay 80/month. I know it's a lot of money but I love the workouts and get a lot out of them so to me it's worth it.

Well I was thinking about doing it for a month and maybe learn some new stuff to use in the future.

If you're going to just do crossfit for a month to find some new exercises to do, I wouldn't even sign up. I'm sure you can learn how to do all of the exercises online, and then do them on your own if that's what you want to do. I believe crossfit has a website, where it posts a daily workout, so you could just do that workout every day. I know of people who started out that way and then joined the gym to push themselves a little harder.

I could write my own workout, which in fact I have done and use often. To me, it's the intrigue of learning new exercises and the combination of muscle groups and the order in which to do them. That is why I thoroughly enjoyed doing Spartacus. I would not pay for a new workout as I know there is enough I can get off the Internet. I am bored now and simply seeing if any of you guys are on something new and fresh that I can try out.

Sorry for getting even more off topic..

What about some supplements?

Which is better True Mass or Syntha 6?

In fact...what are the best pre and post workout stuff out there?

I am not a supplement guy so don't know the answer to this. I just drink a whey protein shake after workouts. There are a bunch of guys on here who are very smart about the nutrition and supplements
