I know Burfict doesn't get the benefit of the doubt, but...

I don't believe the last hit on brown was an intentionally flagrant hit to the head. Watching it in real time, it just looked like a bang bang play. Should it have been a flag, yes. He made forcible contact to the head/neck of a defenseless player. But was it some vile thuggish act, that so many are making it out to be, meh, I don't really believe so. It's football, you're flying around trying to make plays and shite happens.

Then, after brown is being walked off the field, Burfict puts a hand on his shoulder to show sportsmanship/apologize and the Steelers trainer rips his hand off the shoulder and starts another confrontation.

The ending of this was just a mess. Refs should have called offsetting unsportsmanlike penalties at the end and let the game play on IMO. Steelers coach on the field in player faces and what not. I didn't see the ref get pushed. Just a shitty way to end an otherwise great game.

His momentum put him in that situation. I don't call it intentional. But it was a flag. the 2nd flag... I disagree with. I think the refs have to just walk away in that scenario rather than just basically decide the fate of the game there

the guy who delivered the hit that almost knocked out the other team's player probably shouldn't offer condolences at that particular moment ... might want to wait till after the game ...

I agree

If Burfict had been trying to cheap shot him, he probably break's Brown's neck.

I've seen players from the HS level to the pro level go up to a injured level and offer a simple pat on the back after a hard hit.

Does Burfict have a questionable history? Sure. But I don't see a problem with it. The refs were a bit highstrong during this game.

Agreed. You can't try to apologize to him on the field though. Let everybody cool off and apologize after the game.

I don't like that the ref threw the flag on Pacman with his back completely turned to him

Intentional or not, he put a forearm to the helmet and knocked a receiver out cold when the ball was way over his head already

Pacman ran into the ref. that's what drew the flag

Let's not forget he injured the camera man too

I imagine having that big arse camera shoved back into your face doesn't feel good.

He loaded up and threw the shoulder after the ball was clearly incomplete.

Yup. I sent a guy off the field in an ambulance due to a concussion as a junior in high school. We was returning a punt and I was the clean up man on the wall, aka the guy that rushed the punter, then hangs back and delivers the crack back on the final threat to the returner after the wall is set up. Well we execute it perfect and I catch someone chasing the returner and I have about a 15 yard running start. I hit him just as he's reaching out for the returner, square under the chin and I don't think he ever saw me coming. Concussion protocol, ambulance on field, stretcher, etc. as they load him in the back, I came up to him and apologized and wished him a speedy recovery. I felt like shite afterwards. I don't think anyone wants to see a fellow player get seriously injured because everyone on the field knows that it could be them on the receiving end. IMO, burfict did nothing wrong offering his apology/well wishes.

Dude, the ball wasn't even catchable. Burfict is just a fricking moron trying to take cheap shots. It's what he's known for.
